L’arribada d’en Harry Charles Richards, directament des d’Anglaterra, ha despertat molta curiositat a les aules de 6è aquest trimestre. Els nostres petits periodistes no han deixat passar l’oportunitat de preparar una extensa entrevista amb tota mena de preguntes: des dels seus gustos personals, fins a què en pensa de la nostra escola o com creu que podem millorar el nostre anglès. En Harry ha respost amb molt bon humor i molta proximitat, deixant clar que està molt il·lusionat amb aquesta nova etapa a Catalunya i a la nostra escola. I am from Warrington in England.

Where are your hobbies? (Quines són les teves aficions?)
My hobbies are playing football, solving puzzles, and playing Sudoku.

Why did you decide to come to our school? (Per què vas decidir venir a la nostra escola?)
I decided to join the program and they recommended this school for me as it is smaller and it’s in a great part of Spain.
(Vaig decidir unir-me al programa i em van recomanar aquesta escola ja que és més petita i està a un bon lloc d’Espanya.)
What were your first impressions of our school? (Quines van ser les teves primeres impressions de la nostra escola?)
My first impressions of this school were that it was very connected and everybody was working with each other and for each other.

What are you most excited about teaching us? (Què és el que t’agrada més ensenyar-nos?)
I’m most excited to teach you different levels of English and the pronunciation of English words. (El que més m’emociona és ensenyar-vos diferents nivells d’anglès i la pronunciació de les paraules en anglès.)
Have you ever lived in Spain before? (Havies viscut abans a Espanya?)
No, I’ve never lived in Spain before but I have visited some places like Mallorca and Barcelona.
(No, mai he viscut a Espanya, però he visitat alguns llocs com Mallorca i Barcelona.)
What do you like about Catalunya so far? (Fins ara, què és el que més t’agrada de Catalunya?)
So far about Catalunya, I’m loving the sun, it’s very different from England and the food is amazing, lots of paellas.
(Fins ara, el que més m’agrada de Catalunya és el sol, és molt diferent d’Anglaterra, i el menjar és increïble, moltes paelles!)
Are you learning Catalan? (Estàs aprenent català?)
I’m trying but I’m not very good at it.
(Ho intento però no se’m dóna gaire bé).
What do you hope to learn from us the students? (Què esperes aprendre de nosaltres, els alumnes?)
I hope to learn how to become a better teacher and how to always be calm and funny with the students.
(Espero aprendre a ser un millor professor i a mantenir-me sempre tranquil i divertit amb els alumnes.)
What did you do before you came to our school? (Què feies abans de venir a la nostra escola?)
Before I came to your school, I was studying philosophy in university.

What inspired you to become an English speaker? (Què et va inspirar per fer d’speaker?)
A lot of people told me I would be a good teacher and I gave it some thought and I thought I would give it a go.

What do you enjoy most about speaking English? (Què és el que més t’agrada de parlar anglès?)
It’s very convenient to be able to speak with everybody around the world.

What is the most interesting place you have ever visited? (Quin és el lloc més interessant que has visitat mai?)
The most interesting place I have ever visited is Peru. It was a very different culture and different world than my normal one.

What are your dreams for the future? (Quins són els teus somnis per al futur?)
I would love to travel the world more and maybe teach English all across the world.

Do you have any advice for us as English learners? (Tens algun consell per a nosaltres com a estudiants d’anglès?)
My advice to you as English learners would be to always revise and always keep at it even in the summer holidays when you don’t have more school.
(El meu consell per a vosaltres com a estudiants d’anglès és que sempre repasseu i que no ho deixeu, fins i tot durant les vacances d’estiu quan no hi ha escola.)
